Synopsis
In the aftermath of the murder of a revered community activist, the widow of the slain man deals with the impact of the killing on her life and the life of her family and community, trying to make sense of what has happened — and of what gets said and done — and what doesn’t — in the shadow of urban violence. At a park bench Gretta has had erected in his honor, off the beaten path in his favorite city park, a random encounter with a city water worker assigned to turn off a decorative drinking fountain precipitates a confrontation about the dangers of urban life and the possibilities of community.
